Our Review of Recipes from the Herbalist's Kitchen by Brittany Wood Nickerson
Brittany's brand new book, Recipes from the Herbalist's Kitchen, is one of the few cookbooks we've seen that makes us actually want to try all of the dishes in it. Filled with delightful, whole foods-based dishes, she highlights herbs within her recipes in a way that is both complementary to the dish and allows the herbs to shine within it. Every single recipe looks absolutely delicious.
The recipes are far from ordinary, often incorporating the unique flavors and rich textures of other cultures. You'll find yourself saying, "I never thought of trying that!" as you read through it. This is a book that will inspire you to try something new, to add fresh layers of flavor that you hadn't thought of before, and to delve beyond your routine grocery list. It definitely won't be a book that you leave on the shelf with the cookbook you received as a wedding gift many years ago - you'll want to pull this one out a few times each week! We highly recommend adding a copy to your library. You can purchase one here.*
