When You Need a Dose of Puppy Therapy - Try This Reset Button Oil

We all have those days when we could really use a heavy dose of puppy therapy. You know the ones... like the morning you spilled the kids' cereal all over your clothes (and the floor) before you had a chance to enjoy the coffee you reheated 3 times, burned your forehead with the curling iron, dropped your kids off late at school, and came home to your never ending to-do list and the laundry piled up on the couch. In those moments, all we really want is to start the whole day over, pretend the mess never happened, and end the to-do list with a Mary P. snap of our fingers. We could really use some stress-free cheering up to re-energize us and get us back to feeling like the happy SuperMom we know we are on the inside. That's what this blend is for, guys. Seriously. It works.

It was the first blend I ever made for my own aromatherapy certification course and I named it Reset Button. I wanted to make a blend that would be easy to apply, that could be used on a physical level to clear blocked energy within the musculoskeletal system, and would also be effective for those moments when you need a major mental / emotional boost. My goal was to include a grounding oil and something bright and uplifting - so the finished product would bea "holistic reset button." I ended up really loving the blend (and so do those who've tried it!) and I use it often now, so I wanted to share the recipe with you here.

The blend includes a beautiful mix of Frankincense, Sweet Orange, and Neroli. We're working at a 2% dilution with oils that are anti-inflammatory and analgesic, so while the blend is extremely effective on a mental/emotional level, it's also great for sore muscles (perfect for busy mommas and on-the-go gals!) or for use as a post-workout massage oil.

The oils work well together to bring a sense of calm and tranquility, to get stagnant energy moving, relax the nerves, and to encourage emotional balance. The aroma is balanced and uplifting. When I first made this blend, I thought to tuck the recipe away somewhere and keep it for the day I planned to open an online store with pre-made blends, but I'd rather share it than keep it hidden away. It's such a favorite of mine - I hope you'll love it too!

Recipe:

  • 1 ounce organic Calendula-infused Jojoba
  • 7 drops of organic Frankincense EO
  • 4 drops of organic Sweet Orange EO
  • 1 drop of organic Neroli EO

Let me know if you give this recipe a try. I use it often just because it makes me smile when I smell it. =) I hope you enjoy it!

Much love,
Erin
